Cannon Heritage Works values customer satisfaction. This Refund & Return Policy explains when returns, refunds, or replacements are available for our products and services.

Because we offer a combination of custom-made products, non-custom items, and research-based services, different refund rules apply depending on what you purchase. Please review the sections below carefully.

Policy Specifics

Custom Products (Laser Engraved & Personalized Items)

Due to the personalized nature of custom engraved items:

  • All custom orders are final once production has begun.

  • Custom items are not eligible for returns or refunds due to customer preference, incorrect information provided by the customer, or approval of proofs.

Exceptions

We will gladly offer a replacement or refund if:

  • The item arrives damaged

  • There is a production error caused by Cannon Heritage Works

You must contact us within 7 days of delivery and provide photos of the issue.

Non-Custom Products

Non-custom (non-personalized) merchandise may be returned under the following conditions:

  • Returns must be requested within 30 days of the delivery date

  • Items must be unused, undamaged, and in their original condition

  • Proof of purchase is required

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method once the return is received and inspected.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to our error.

Research Services (Historical & Familial Research)

Because research services involve time, expertise, and access to records:

  • Research services are non-refundable once work has begun

  • If a cancellation request is received before work begins, a refund may be issued at our discretion

No guarantees are made regarding specific research outcomes due to the nature of historical records.

Digital Deliverables (If Applicable)

If research results or designs are delivered digitally:

  • Refunds are not available once digital files or reports have been delivered

  • Description of the issue

Refund Processing Time

Approved refunds will be processed through the original payment method. Please allow:

  • 5–10 business days for the refund to appear, depending on your payment provider

Shipping fees are non-refundable unless required by law.
 

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges. If eligible, approved returns may be refunded, and a new order may be placed.
